Linlithgow Canal Centre and Union Canal 

The Canal Centre is adjacent to the Union Canal Basin on the Union Canal originally built to link Edinburgh & Glasgow.

The Union Canal is 31½ miles long starting in Edinburgh and ending at Falkirk. It is now linked to the Forth & Clyde Canal at Falkirk by the world acclaimed rotating boat lift, the Falkirk Wheel, from where it continues its journey to Glasgow.

The Canal Centre is run by the Linlithgow Union Canal Society (LUCS) who operate two boats and trips from the Basin every weekend from Easter till the first week in October daily from 2pm.

You can cruise to the Avon Aqueduct on board the St Magdalene or the shorter town section on the Victoria (a replica victorian steam packet boat).
