Linlithgow Palace 

Although mainly ruins the magnificent Linlithgow Palace still conjures up bygone ages and give a real perspective of how the Royal families of Scotland lived.

Linlithgow Loch 

The Palace sits beside Linlithgow Loch in Linlithgow Peel (park) making it a beautful and excellent location for sitting watching the swans on the loch or for a picnic on the loch banks.

Long connection with Scotland's history 

All of the Stewart kings lived at the Palace at one time or other. Over the years numerous renovations to the palace’s grand facades and chambers were carried out as each sought to create the ideal modern palace of its day.

The Palace is the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots and is now in the care of Historic Scotland .

Linlithgow Palace is only about 10 minutes drive from Bankhead Farm Bed & Breakfast making it an ideal location from which to tour and enjoy the beauty of Scotland.
